Road and Transport department has identified 789 black spots on National Highways in country where the people lost their life in accidents. <br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries in Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mansukh L Manaviya said Centre has taken several steps to contain road accidents and enforcement of road safety laws in the country. <br/><br/>He said his ministry has decided to abolish all accident prone black spots in next three years. Mr Manaviya said according to Road Safety Audit Findings development of intersection of National Highways with cross roads were not adequate as per Indian Roads Congress standards and specifications.
