In Maharashtra, eight persons were killed and four injured in a road mishap near Paunar Ashram in Wardha district on Sunday. The incident occurred when the jeep carrying the victims collided head on with a container truck. Police said, the driver of the jeep heading to Talathi in Gondia district, lost the control and rammed into the container carrying steel coils. Most of the victims, including two women, belonged to Lohara and other nearby places in Yavatmal district.
