In Uttar Pradesh, six people lost their lives in the two separate train accidents in the last two days in Aligarh and Hathras stations respectively. According to railway authorities in the second incident which occurred at Hathras station, a minor boy lost his life and two others were injured. Railway sources told AIR that this tragic incident happened when a part of the brake shoe of Ranchi- Delhi -Rajdhani express hit the passengers waiting for another train at the station. Last evening, a similar incident happened at the Aligarh station when the hand brake of a goods train snapped and hit the passengers in which five people died and seven others were injured. Railway Safety Commissioner will the begin enquiry for Aligarh incident from tomorrow and the Hathras accident probe on Wednesday.
