In Haryana, the official authorities have confirmed death of 12 students and teachers of Sriram Institute of Management in a road accident near village Mankpur in Yamunanagar district on Thursday. According to Government spokesman, 29 students are seriously injured and are under treatment in various hospitals of Yamunanagar. The condition of five injured is critical. They have been referred to PGI Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister has announced exgratia of one lakh rupees each to the next of kin of those killed and 25 thousand rupees each to the seriously injured. The students with minor injuries would be given 10 thousand rupees each. It may be recalled that the accident occurred on Thursday when a truck coming from Chachroli side got punctured and collided head -on with the institute's bus on Paonta Road.
