The death toll in the Etawah road mishap rose to 15 as two more persons succumbed to their injuries in a hospital. Superintendent of Police Rajesh D Modak said, thirteen people, including 12 women, were killed and three others seriously injured when they were run over by a truck on Etawah-Farukkhabad road last night. He said, the truck mowed down the victims when its driver lost control over the vehicle after its axle broke down in Baralok village on Etawah-Farukkhabad road. Mr. Modak said, among the injured victims, the truck driver and another person died during treatment at hospital.

District Magistrate P Guruprasad has announced a financial assistance of 2 lakh rupees to kin of those killed and 50,000 rupees to the injured.
