In Madhya Pradesh, at least 18 people were killed when a private passenger bus fell in Barna river in Bareli area of Raisen district. The ill-fated bus went out of control crossing a bridge over Barna after one of its tyre suddenly burst. Raisen police Superintendent, I P Kulshreshtra said, 18 bodies have been recovered so far while two persons were rescued. The death toll is likely to increase as about 40 passengers were reportedly traveling in the bus. In another accident, at least seven people were killed when a tractor trolley was washed away in the Son river in Pahargarh area of Morena district on Monday morning. About 22 people were rescued. The incident took place when tractor trolley tried to cross a small bridge (Rapta) built on the Son river.
