Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) led by Mr Ajit Singh and the Congress have decided to fight UP elections together. The Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said that an agreement has been reached on seat sharing in the state. Mr Ajit Singh met the Congress President Sonia Gandhi yesterday evening and offered to join the UPA at the Centre. Congress Spokesman Janardhan Dwivedi told reporters that his offer has been accepted in principle and the RLD Chief will be writing to the Congress President in this regard. RLD has five members in the Lok Sabha. Senior Congress leader Mohan Prakash did not rule out Mr Ajit Singh joining the Union Cabinet.
