RJD-JD(U)-Congress combine gains; BJP loses by-polls in four states

In the by-election of the 18 Assembly seats in the four states of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Karnataka, RJD and JD(U) and Congress have won ten seats while BJP has got eight.

In Bihar, all 10 results of State Assembly bye elections have been declared. Of them four seats of Narkatiaganj, Banka, Hajipur and Mohania have gone in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party and remaining 6 seats won by RJD, JD(U) Congress combine candidates.

Three seats of Chapra, Rajnagar and Mohiuddinpur have gone in the favour of RJD while Parbatta and Jale seats have been won by the ruling JD(U) nominees. Lone Bhagalpur seat has gone in favour of Congress candidate.

In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP candidates declared elected from the Agar and Vijayraghav Garh seats.In Bahoriband, Congress Candidate won.

In Karnataka, the Congress has won two seats while the BJP got one. The ruling Congress has wrested the Bellary Rural seat. The Congress also retained the Chikkodi Sadalaga seat while BJP retained the Shikkaripura seat.

In Punjab, Congress candidate Perneet Kaur has been declared winner in Patiala while in Talwandi sabo, Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP candidate Jeet Mohinder Singh has been declared winner.
