Rashtriya Janta Dal, RJD, and Lok Janshakti Party, LJP, will jointly contest the coming Assembly elections in Bihar. Both the parties have decided to project the RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate whereas the Bihar Lok Janshakti Party Chief Pashupati Kumar Paras will be projected as a candidate for the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Addressing a joint press conference in New Delhi on Monday, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan announced that in the 243 member Bihar Assembly, RJD will contest 168 seats, while LJP 75 seats.
