Rivers on spate in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh

Rivers on spate in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Ganga is rising in Gazipur and Ballia and flowing above the danger mark. Ghghra is flowing above the red mark in Barabanki and Ayodhya. Sharda in Paliankalan is rising and flowing above the danger mark. The met department says that the south west monsoon has become weak in eastern and western UP and there will be less rain fall in next twenty four hours. But life in several parts of eastern UP has badly hit because several low lying areas of Ballia, Gazipur, Allahabad, Gonda ,Ayodhya and Lakhimurpr Khiri are flooded and thousands of acres agriculture land submerged into river water. Rising level of Ganga also forced many people in low lying areas of Allahabad and Ballia to evacuate their houses. In Gonda, many families are still in shelter homes due to Ghghra flood. In Lakhmipur Khiri rising sharda river poses threat to Pilibhit -Basti Highway According to reports, three people were killed in rain related incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last twenty four hours. Two persons drowned in Gazipur and one person lost his life in Kanpur when a wall of a house was collapsed.
