In Uttar Pradesh, the rivers continue to swell due to heavy rain in Uttarakhand and release of water from Banbasa barrage in Nepal. Ghaghra and Saryu rivers are flowing above the danger mark in Gonda and Barabanki while Ganga is still 46 centimetres above the danger level in Ballia.In Bareilly, the level of Kichchha and Shankha rivers has increased due to incessant rain. Several low-lying areas and a bridge have submerged into flood water in the district. Meanwhile, the scattered rain has occurred in some parts of west UP while weather in eastern UP largely remained dry.
