In Uttar Pradesh, rivers are in spate due to heavy rain and release of water from Uttarakhand and Nepal. Ganga, Yamuna, Ramganga, Ghagra, Sharda are flowing above the danger mark in various parts of the state. Quoting reports from various parts, our correspondent says at least five people lost their lives in last forty eight hours. The flood situation has deteriorated in Bihar with new areas coming under water in Katihar, Bhagalpur, Purnia and Darbhanga districts.
