In Haryana, a red alert has been sounded in the districts adjoining Yamuna river. Due to heavy rainfall in the hills one lakh 12 thousand cusecs of water from Hathnikund Barrage has been released in Yamuna today. In Karnal near Dhakwala village a breach occurred in the bandh near Yamuna has damaged thousand acres of crop in nearby villages. Around 150 police Jawans and Army Jawans are engaged in filling the breach with the help of local people. Due to heavy rains the water has entered in the Skylark complex, a hotel and restaurant of tourism department of Haryana near Panipat. Around four feet water is flowing in the complex damaging furniture and other items. It may be mentioned that foreign tourists are expected to stay here during Commonwealth Games.
