In IPL Cricket, Rising Pune Supergiant beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 61 runs. Chasing a modest target of 158 runs RCB slumped to 96 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs. Barring skipper Virat Kohli no RCB batsman, including the mercurial AB De Villiers played an inning, worth mentioning. Earlier sent in to bat, the Pune Supergiants managed 157 for 3 in 20 overs, thanks to sensible innings of 45 runs by skipper Steve Smith and 44 not out by Manoj Tiwary. They were ably supported by Rahul Tripathi, 37 and veteran M S Dhoni, 21 not out. The second match of the evening is now being played between Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians at Rajkot. Gujarat Lions have won the toss and chose to bat first.
