Barring skipper Virat Kohli no RCB batsman, including the mercurial AB De Villiers played an inning, worth mentioning. Earlier sent in to bat, the Pune Supergiants managed 157 for 3 in 20 overs, thanks to sensible innings of 45 runs by skipper Steve Smith and 44 not out by Manoj Tiwary. They were ably supported by Rahul Tripathi, 37 and veteran M S Dhoni, 21 not out. The second match of the evening is now being played between Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians at Rajkot.
