Rising for the second straight session, the Rupee appreciated 7 paise today against the dollar to close at a one and a half month high of Rs 73.22 against the dollar amid positive domestic markets and weak American currency.

The domestic currency has strengthened 20 paise in the last two sessions.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, fell 0.09 per cent to 90.23.
