Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee says that the government will take corrective decision in consultation with all stakeholders to deal with the impact of rising crude oil prices on public finances and the subsidy bill. Speaking at the post budget interaction with industry leaders in New Delhi today, Mr. Mukherjee sought the cooperation from industry to accelerate the pace of economic growth.
He said, the eurozone crisis has impacted India as well. The impact of high volatility in international commodity prices, uncertainty and fragile economic growth in the developed nations on Indian economy will have to be addressed collectively by the government, political establishment and the industry.
Mr. Mukherjee said that he has been extra careful in framing the budget because of political compulsion.
