In Uttarakhand, Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway was opened on Saturday for light vehicles after more than two weeks. But on other hand, Yamunotri route has got closed following the landslides. Meanwhile weather was clear in major parts of the state ton Saturday. Residents of number of villages on Gangotri route have got respite after opening of the road for the light vehicles. They were cut off from their respective district headquarters for more than two weeks and faced crisis of essential commodities. Meanwhile, three remote blocks of Chamoli district have been lashed following the heavy rains. Officials however claimed that all arrangements have been made to deal with all exigencies that may arise due to the situation.
