There was an increase in naxal violence in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh during 2015 compared to a year earlier. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary attributed to pressure on security forces in the adjoining areas of Chhattisgarh for increase in naxal violence. He said, security forces have intensified anti-naxal operations in the region.
