Rise above politics& fight against Chikungunya, Dengue: Delhi LG

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has appealed to all to rise above political consideration and fight against the menace of Chikungunya and Dengue in the national capital. <br/><br/>Mr. Jung today reviewed the situation related to spread of vector borne diseases in the city and directed all stakeholders including the Health Department and MCDs to generate more robust awareness about prevention and cure through advertisements. The LG also urged Delhites to come together and help tide<br/><br/>over the situation. He asked the citizens to ensure that no water stagnates and water tanks and other utensils used for water<br/>storage are kept covered. <br/><br/>Mr. Jung directed the Health Department and hospitals to ensure that hospitals, clinics and laboratories do not turn away any critical case of Chikungunya or Dengue. <br/><br/>On the occasion, Heath Minister Satyendra Jain said the private hospitals must not use this opportunity to exploit patients and asked people not to panic. He also informed that the government has cancelled leave of all hospital staff and has issued directions to employ temporary staff for the next two months.
