Organizers of next year's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro have decided to cut the budget for the games in view of Brazil's sluggish economy. The organizing committee has allocated about 2 billion dollars, to pay for the Olympic Games and preceding test events.It plans to reduce the number of participants in test events and to use only parts of the Olympic facilities.The committee's Communications Director, Mario Andrada, said that lavish spending on the Olympics will not be accepted when the country is facing difficult economic times.
