Rio Olympics: India lose to Germany 1-2 in Hockey

India's men's hockey team today lost to Germany at the Rio Olympics 1-2. Though India played brilliantly to keep the reigning Champions Germany to 1-1 till the dying moments, the winning goal came through Christopher Ruhr just a few seconds before the hooter. Germany took the initial lead through Niklas Wellen in the second quarter. Soon India levelled when drag-flick experts Rupinder Pal Singh scored a goal. Earlie, India broke a 12-year Olympics jinx by winning their opening group league encounter against Ireland 3-2.
