Rio Olympics: India has good chance of winning medals in men's doubles and mixed doubles, says Bhupathi

Ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has said that India has a good chance of winning medals in both men's doubles and mixed doubles events in next year's Rio Olympics. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Bhupathi said men's doubles partners Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes are both world-class players while in the mixed doubles the chances are brighter with Paes expected to partner Sania Mirza, the world's top woman doubles player. Talking about the current Indian tennis scene, Bhupathi sounded upbeat pointing out Yuki Bhambri's rise into the top 100 of men's singles. He also singled out Wimbledon boys' doubles champion Sumit Nagal of Haryana and 17-year-old girl Karman Kaur Thandi as the players to watch out for. Meanwhile, Bhupathi, who is the Founder Managing Director of International Premier Tennis League, also announced that the second season of the tournament will be held from 2nd -20th December and would include a new team, Japan Warriors.
