In Hockey, Indian eves were defeated Nil-3 by Great Britain in their second encounter of Rio Olympics this morning. After having a good game yesterday against Japan, Indian eves tried to hold London Olympics Bronze medalist Great Britain. But a fast pace game by the Brits and lack of defensive co-ordination by Indian team gave them a big advantage. Though Indian eves tried to make counter attacks in last quarter but Nil-3 deficit was too big to fill. Indian eves next play Australia tomorrow. They qualified for Olympics after a gap of 36 years.Earlier, Indian men's team lost their second encounter to reigning Olympics Champion Germany 1-2 last evening. Though India played brilliantly to keep Germany to 1-1, till the dying moments, but Christopher Ruhr scored the winning goal just a few seconds before end of the regulation time. India had earlier recorded a 3-2 victory over Ireland. They next play Argentina in the evening today.
