In the Olympic football opener South Africa held host Brazil to a goal less draw in their Group A clash in Brasilia yesterday. Brazil played with a highly rated three stars Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Barbosa but failed to score against the little-known South Africans. The opening ceremony for the Rio Games will take place early morning tomorrow but the men's football tournament began 24 hours earlier. Sixteen men's football teams and twelve women's teams are participating in Rio Olympics. The Olympic football competition is being played in host city Rio de Janeiro and six other cities.
