Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Olympic Games. This was announced by Jacques Rogge, President of the IOC in Copenhagen a short while ago. Rio de Janeiro beat Madrid, Tokyo and Chicago to win the hosting rights of the 2016 Olympic Games. Chicago received the least number of votes in the first round and Tokyo in the second round in the voting. Chicago failed to make it despite the campaign by President Obama and his wife.<br/>
