Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju will inaugurate the national workshop on an integrated approach to fire safety in New Delhi today on the occasion of the Fire Services Day. The day long workshop is being held to deliberate upon the integrated approaches to fire safety. The theme of this year's fire services day is prevent fire accident, promote nation's development. <br/><br/>Department of Posts will release a postage stamp on the theme Fire Services in India. Fire Services Day is observed on 14th of April every year in memory of the sacrifices made by the firemen during the devastating fire on SS Fort Strikine ship in Mumbai Dock in the year 1944.
