The Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju inaugurated the two weeks' Border Out Post (BOP) Training Module of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) through video conferencing in New Delhi today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rijiju wished this training module will benefit all SSB personnel and this BOP module will be very useful in imparting professional training to the jawans. He said to make the module easy to understand and comprehend, the contents have been prepared in Hindi and are more of audio-visual nature. <br/><br/>The Minister expressed his happiness that a new chapter has been added to the historic role of SSB. He said country is getting security and peace due to services provided by the SSB and other security forces. Mr Rijiju further said SSB has transformed into not only a border guarding force, but also a specialized force.<br/><br/>The Minister also said SSB provides various other services such as VIP security and services in Left wing extremism(LWE)- affected areas. He also appreciated the SSB for their active role in social services also. This training Module is being conducted simultaneously at 270 Company locations in which personnel of 625 BOPs are participating.
