Law and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said the right of non-discriminatory access to Internet is not negotiable and government's stand on it is very clear from day one. <br/><br/>His remarks came days after the US scrapped rules that ensured a free and open Internet. <br/><br/>Speaking at a private TV function in New Delhi on Saturday, Mr. Prasad said, the Internet must be available to all. <br/><br/>He said he does not want to go into the debate of net neutrality that is for US to decide but NDA government's stand has been very clear over the issue. <br/><br/>The Minister also cited the example of denying permission to Facebook's Free Basics platform when he was handling the portfolio of Communications Ministry. <br/><br/>The Facebook's Free Basics was intended to bring free access to some websites while leaving out others.
