Rich tributes are being paid to freedom fighter and deputy former Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram on the occasion of his 104th birth anniversary on Tuesday in Andhra Pradesh. Recalling his services, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy described Jagjivan Ram as an able parliamentarian who championed the cause of the poor and the downtrodden in the country until he breathed his last. Several programmes are being held on Tuesday across the state in his remembrance.
