Glowing tributes are being paid to the former President of India Dr. Zakir Hussain on his 41st death anniversary today. Fataha Khani was held at his mausoleum in New Delhi this morning. Zakir Hussain born on 8th February, 1897, was elected the 3rd President of India on May 13, 1967. He was awarded the highest civilian honour 'Bharat Ratna' in 1963 for his outstanding contribution to the field of education. He was Vice Chanellor of Aligarh Muslim University and also headed Jamia Milia Islamia. Dr. Zakir Hussain was the Governor of Bihar from 1957 to 1962 and as a second Vice President of India from 1962 to 1967. <br/>
