Rice production in Asia likely to fall due to global warning

A new scientific study indicates that rice yields in many parts of Asia are being reduced due to global warming. The work by mainly US based scientists found that rising night time temperatures had a negative affect on rice yield.Yields have fallen by 10 to 20 percent over the last 25 years in some locations. The scientists studied records from 227 farms in six important rice-producing countries including India, China, Thailand and Vietnam.
