Rice procurement by various governemnt agencies has crossed 10 million tonnes in the current kharif marketing season so far.According to an official release, Punjab leads with over 76 million tonnes followed by Haryana at nearly 1.9 million tonnes. Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh have also procured good quantity of rice.
