Indian Navy's retired aircraft carrier Viraat has arrived near Alang ship breaking yard off Gujarat coast in Bhavnagar district. It reached Gujarat coast after completing the three-day journey from Mumbai Naval dock-yard. <br />''<br />''Viraat is anchored about seven nautical miles from Alang ship breaking yard. Looking at sea tide conditions, beaching at a ship-breaking yard is expected to take place on 28th September. Meanwhile, customs and other procedures will take place.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that the aircraft carrier Viraat had served the Indian Navy for 30 years before being decommissioned. It had served in the UK's Royal Navy as HMS Hermes and named INS Viraat after being inducted in the Indian Navy in 1987. Alang based Shree Ram group has won the bid for dismantling the ship.</span><br />
