A retired IIS officer with a long stint in All India Radio, Bengaluru, V S Suryanarayana passed away in Bengaluru today. Admitted in hospital due to Covid related conditions, he passed away today morning due to heart attack. Retired as Director News in Doordarshan Kendra, Bengaluru, he had served in All India Radio news units in Delhi and as RNU Head in Bengaluru and Dharwad.&nbsp;<br />”&nbsp;<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">When the Dharwad Regional News Unit commenced operation, he was the first officer to serve there. A 1969 batch officer, he began his service in Kalaburgi and Mysuru as a Field Publicity Officer.</span><br />
