Former Calcutta High Court judge C S Karnan Karnan was today arrested in Coimbatore by the Kolkata Police team. For the last three days, Justice Karnan was staying in a private lodge near Kalpakkam University, Coimbatore. Kolkata police trapped his phone number at 6.00 p.m. today and arrested him. He was sent to Mumbai and then to Kolkata.<br/><br/>Supreme court sentenced Justice Karnan to six months jail for contempt of court on 9th of last month, when he was a serving judge of the Calcutta High Court. Karnan retired from service on June 12. He became the first high court judge to have retired as a fugitive.
