Retail inflation eased to 3.66 per cent in August this year, compared to 3.69 per cent in July this year, and 7.03 percent in August last year. But food inflation measured by the Consumer Food Price Index rose slightly, to 2.2 percent in August, from 2.15 percent in July. <br/><br/>Also, inflation in pulses and products stood at 25.76 per cent, according to official data. However, inflation in vegetables stood at minus 6.36 percent. Urban inflation was 2.65 percent, while rural inflation was 4.47 percent during August.
