The Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today said, resurgence of terrorist groups, particularly L-e-T and increased infiltration attempts call for heightened vigil and coordination.
Addressing the delegates of DGPs and IGPs conference at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, Dr. Singh said, there is also a likelihood of attempts to disrupt the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and Security forces need to be careful.
Referring to Muzaffarnagar riots, he said, the country cannot afford such a state of affairs.
Dr. Manmohan Singh said, the law and order agencies must ensure that trivial or local issues are not exploited by vested interests to inflame communal passions.
