In Gujarat, the result of census of world's Asiatic lions has been declared and the number of pride of India has reached to 411. Declaring the result of the cencus, the Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi said that the Gir forest is the best protected area for the wildlife in the country. He said that the increased number of lions, lioness and cubs are the golden gift to the globe by the Gujarat who is celebrating its Golden Jubilee of statehood. AIR correspondent Shailesh Vyas reports from Gandhinagar that the once in a five year exercise of census of lions were taken place at the Gir forest a week ago and in which more than 2000 forest officials and volunteers were engaged. <br/>
