In view of the ensuing Assembly polls in Goa, slated for March 3, the restrictions on liquor shops imposed by the District Magistrates of North and South districts came into force from today in the state. Notifications to this effect were issued by the Magistrates of both districts on Tuesday evening.As per this notification, all the liquor shops, restaurants and bars are required to be closed everyday by 11.00 p.m. till February 5 and strictly by 10.00 p.m. from February 6, 2012 till the completion of elections.The District Election Officer North has identified 38 vulnerable and 80 hypersensitive polling stations. The North Goa Police have identified 81 history-sheeters and an action is being taken on them as per law. AIR Panaji correspondent reports, campaigning is gradually picking up momentum in the state with political parties mainly focusing on mass contact programmes, meetings, rallies etc. to spread their agenda amongst the electorates.
