The maximum temperature recorded today in the national capital was 39.2 degrees celsius which was two degrees below normal.<br/><br/>This was a result of the mild showers witnessed in the past one day thereby bringing down temperatures and providing the much needed relief from the sweltering heat.<br/><br/>The minimum settled at 26.5 degrees celsius which was one degree below normal. However,the met department forecasts a rise in mercury in the days to come with the maximum likely to settle at 42 degrees celsius on Monday.

Respite in Delhi as temperature subsides to below normal
