Resort to peace: Lebanon rival group told

Syrian and Saudi leaders have called on Lebanon's rival factions to avoid resorting to violence, amid mounting political tensions in the country. The call came after unprecedented talks in Beirut between Saudi Arabian King Abdullah with the Syrian President Bashar al Assad as well as Lebanese President. The Saudi King and Syrian President urged Leanese to resolve issues through legal institutions. Analysts regard the trip as marking progress in relations between Saudi Arabia and Syria, the two of region's most influential powers
