Resident doctors call off strike in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, the resident doctors have called off their strike and have decided to return to work from today.However, the strike of in-service doctors continues for eighth day today.The resident doctors ended their strike unconditionally after meeting with Health Minister A.A. Khan last night midnight.With more than 3000 resident doctors resuming their duties, the health services in medical colleges and attached hospitals is likely to improve.Scared with government’s tough attitude, more than 500 striking doctors returned to work yesterday.So far nearly 500 doctors have been arrested under Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act, RESMA, and 65 have been suspended.
