The reshuffle and expansion of Union Council of Ministers will take place today. Official sources said, the swearing-in ceremony is likely to be held at 5 pm. UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi held a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday. Political Secretary to the Congress President Ahmed Patel was also present during the meeting. Issues related to reshuffle were discussed at the meeting which lasted for about two hours. In the evening, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee also met Mrs Gandhi. Raja resigned from the Cabinet in the wake of 2G spectrum issue, Prithviraj Chavan was shifted to Maharasthra as Chief Minister and Shashi Tharoor resigned as Minister of State for External Affairs following IPL controversy.
