In Arunachal Pradesh, rescuers were unable to retrieve the dead bodies of Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and four other persons killed in the Tawang Chopper crash. After four days of intense search for the 56 years old Chief Minister’s missing chopper, rescuers located the wreckage and all five bodies this morning. The dead bodies will be airlifted to Itanagar tomorrow morning. A local search party discovered the wreckage along with the bodies in a high altitude area between Kyela and Lugutang near Tawang. The Pawan Hans chopper had gone missing after take off from Tawang on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Gen JJ Singh has expressed shock at Dorjee Khandu’s demise. Conveying his condolences, the Governor said the loss of Dorjee Khandu is the saddest moment in the history of Arunachal Pradesh. Gen Singh said Late Khandu, was a great leader of the State who made immense contribution in various capacities during his long and distinguished career. He further said the late Chief Minister will always be remembered and his name and contributions will remain written in golden letters.
