In Chile, rescue work will begin midnight today to free the 33 miners trapped for more than two months nearly half a mile below ground. This follows engineers successfully reaching the chamber, where the miners are trapped, with an escape tunnel on Saturday. Extraction could not begin immediately as the concrete belt for the winch system was hard. The Miners have been in contact with the out side world through a small bore hole that sends them food, water and other necessary things.
