Rescue teams arrive in quake devastated Haiti from all over the world

At least 36 UN personnel, including 19 military troops, have been killed in the Haiti earthquake. Speaking on video-conference to journalists in the UN headquarters in New York, David Wimhurst, spokesperson for the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Haiti, said that 160 UN personnel are still unaccounted for, along with 18 police personnel who are still missing.Search and rescue teams have arrived from the United States, France, China and Dominican Republic, and they are using dogs and electronic censors to find people.Noting that the death toll in Haiti is expected to be "very high", the UN chief also stressed that the next 72 hours will be critical for pulling more people out of the rubble.India has given one million dollars to Haiti for immediate and emergency relief purposes.
