In Uttar Pradesh, the rescue and relief operation is still going on in Jaunpur where 7 coaches of Doon Express Train were derailed yesterday. Five people were killed and more than 20 were injured in the accident. Our Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the rail traffic is expected to resume on Jaunpur-Shahganj rail-route by this evening.Our correspondent reports that the rescue work on the accident site has been resumed early this morning. It was abandoned last night due to darkness.Rail Minister Mukul Roy visited the accident site and the district hospital where injured have been admitted. The Chief Railway Safety Commissioner Rajkumar Kardam will enquire into the incident and has reached the site. The railway has already announced ex-gratia of 5 lakh rupees to the kin of deceased. The seriously injured people will be given 1 Lakh rupees each while those with minor injuries will get 25 thousand rupees each.
