The Indian Navy and the Air Force have deployed six helicopters and one Dornier aircraft with medical teams to help in rescue operations at the Kollam temple. 2 helicopters are also taking two NDRF teams from Arakonam to the site. The Navy has also deputed three Naval ships INS Kabra, Kalpeni and Sunayna with medical stores to Kollam coast to give medical assistance to the injured. A Coast Guard team is on the way by road. Surgical teams have also been put on standby at the Naval command hospital in Kochi.
