Rescue and flood relief operations on in Haryana

<br/>In Haryana rescue and relief operations are being carried on warfooting by Army, social activitists and National Disaster team. The road and rail services on Ambala -Delhi route has been restored. The Ambala- Hisar road will become functional by this evening as the repair work is on. The power supply in district Ambala and Kurukshetra after heavy rain fall and floods has been restored. <br/><br/>A spokesman for the Haryana Power Utilities said at chandigarh today that all the substations of the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam and the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam had started functioning and the power supply position is normal. The heavy rain fall affected seventeen substations of Haryana Power Utilities flooding the switch yards and control rooms with three to six feet of rain water. The Utilities had been forced to switch off the power supply to avoid electrical accidents. <br/><br/>Haryana Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda today reviewed the flood situation in the state and issued instructions to the authorities to take all required measures to mitigate the sufferings of people. Mr Hooda will do aerial survey of flood affected areas of the Ambala, Kurukshetra and Kaithal district in the afternoon to take stock of the factual position.
