In Uttar Pradesh, Republic Day functions were organized at all district headquarters, educational institutions and various government offices. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his message, appealed to the people to perform their duties with honesty while keeping in mind the nation first. In his message, the Chief Minister said today, the country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, and this gives the people an opportunity to introspect and commit themselves to achieving the goals set by India's great nationalists. He hoisted the tricolour at his residence in Lucknow. Heavy security arrangements were in place across the state on the occasion of republic day.
